About

frolicking-croppedChristianity is changing. Without getting all apocalyptic about it (although that might be apropos), we’re doing theology in a way that hasn’t been done in the Western world before. I’m a early-30s single female pastor in Mennonite Church USA blogging about what happens when things change–like, change in ways we have no paradigm to explain. My favorite topics are pop music, obscure Old Testament passages, environment, feminism, and peace theologies.

After 5 years pastoring in suburban Chicago, in May 2018 I transitioned to a church in Ann Arbor, MI, where I continue to write about activism, radical discipleship, art, and social change.  I also tweet about the Mennonite church and theology @stuffmennossay. Nothing I say professes to be the formal opinion of Mennonite Church USA or Shalom Community Church. Anything that is, is merely coincidence. Or divine intervention. Have it your way.

  1. I am so glad to have discovered your blog. Your writing challenges and encourages me. I am Christian and committed to building the world in the way Jesus taught us. I belive taught us to share with each other, to stand with those who are oppressed and be good stewards of the world. You speak of what the church and world ought to be about. I am a Diaconal Minister in the United Church of Canada. I find that many congregations do not want to be challenged! I hope many people are being inspired and challenged by your ministry. You are a blessing to all of us! I look forward to reading more.
